To effectively control the spread of Covid19 and facilitate all those who are eligible for Covid19 vaccine, a temporary Covid Vaccine Centre (CVC) to be set up in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat at Kohima will function from Monday (April 12, 2021).
The Nagaland home department in a circular said the Covid Vaccine Centre (CVC) will be set up by the Nagaland health and family welfare department in coordination with the home department.

The CVC will function at the VIP Waiting Room in the Central Block of the Secretariat and will be open daily from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, the circular said.
All the officers and staff, who are above 45 years of age, working in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat at Kohima and not yet taken the Covid19 vaccine, have been requested to avail of the opportunity to get vaccinated at the CVC in Nagaland Civil Secretariat.
The officers and staff will have to provide their contact numbers and produce any of the following documents in original at the CVC for registering for the vaccination.

The documents include – Government Identity Card; Driving license; Passport; PAN Card; Voter Identity Card or AADHAAR Card.
The circular issued by the principal secretary to home, Abhijit Sinha, said: “All the officers and staff of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat are advised to continue following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, even after vaccination, like, wearing of mask, maintaining social distancing, regular washing of hands, etc.”
On Sunday, Nagaland registered 5 new Covid19 cases.
While 3 new cases were reported from Dimapur, 1 each case was reported from Kohima and Mokokchung districts.
Meanwhile, 2 positive Covid19 patients recovered on Sunday.
They were discharged in Dimapur and Kohima.
Nagaland so far has registered a total of 12,405 Covid19 positive cases while 11,992 people have recovered.
Nagaland currently has 157 active Covid19 cases.
