A joint team of security forces and Nagaland Police apprehended a cadre of Nikki Sumi-led NSCN (K) near PWD Colony in Kohima.
The joint team recovered arms and ammunition from the possession of the NSCN (K) cadre.
The operation was conducted on March 16, said a defence release issued on Saturday.
“Based on a specific input, the security forces launched a joint operation with state police and apprehended the cadre,” the release said.
One 7.65mm pistol with magazine, five live rounds of 7.65mm pistol, 14 live rounds of 7.62mm pistol and five live rounds of 5.56mm pistol were recovered from him, the release said.
The cadre along with the recovered item was handed over to the South police station in Kohima.
