Nagaland reported 44 new positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s Covid19 tally to 11,159.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom on Sunday tweeted: “Update!
44 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today.”
Health minister Phom informed that of the news cases, 27 cases have been reported from Dimapur, 16 cases reported from Kohima while Tuensang has reported 1 new case.
Meanwhile, a total of 174 more patients, who were earlier infected by the virus, have been discharged from various Covid care centres or hospitals.
The health minister informed that while 140 patients have been discharged from Dimapur, 30 patients have been discharged from Kohima, 3 from Tuensang and 1 patent has been discharged from Phek district.
So far, a total of 9,898 patients have recovered from Covid19.
Nagaland currently has 1,087 active Covid19 cases.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 57 people in Nagaland.
