Nagaland has registered 118 new COVID19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 5,064.
Confirming the detection of the new positive cases, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status on Saturday said the new cases have been detected out of 609 samples tested.
“Update! 118 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been detected out of 609 samples received,” health minister Phom said.
Of the new cases, 113 have been reported from Dimapur, 2 cases each have been detected in Kohima and Peren districts while 1 case has been detected in the Mon district.
Meanwhile, 31 more patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have recovered from the disease.
“Also, State reports 31 recoveries of COVID-19 patients,” Phom said.
While 25 patients have recovered in Kohima district, 5 have recovered in Mon district and 1 patient has recovered in Phek district.
A total of 3,791 have recovered from the disease so far in Nagaland.
According to the COVID19 war room, Nagaland, the state currently has 1,252 active COVID19 cases while 11 positive cases have migrated from the state.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 8 positive patients.
