Nagaland on Thursday reported 11 Covid-19 deaths and 228 new positive cases, Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom said. Twelve other deaths with Covid positivity were also reported on the day.
With new cases, the State’s active positive cases reached 4941 and death toll 326.

Phom said the total caseload in the State stood at 21023 while 15124 people recovered from the infection.
Of the new positive cases, Dimapur recorded 98, Kohima 54, Mokokchung 25, Tuensang 20, Phek 15, Zunheboto 6, Wokha 4, Longleng and Mon 2 each and Kiphire and Peren 1 each.
Phom said a total of 195 positive patients recovered during the day, 106 from Dimapur, Kohima 47, Mokokchung 17, Zunheboto 9, Tuensang 5, Wokha, Peren and Kiphire 3 each and Longleng 2.

Altogether 620 people migrated from the State.
Meanwhile, Phom held a review meeting with senior departmental officers in Kohima today. The meeting deliberated on the representations from various NGOs regarding manpower shortage in the department and other grievances.
Phom said it was resolved the issues on genuine demand and need basis.
Considering the need of help from every health sector at this juncture, he said 102 oxygen concentrators were distributed to different private hospitals and some strategic government institutions in Dimapur and Kohima today.
“We are thankful to all concerned citizens for helping the Department in these difficult times,” he stated.
