Security forces in a joint operation with Nagaland Police apprehended two cadres of two different factions of NSCN in Nagaland’s Dimapur district on Tuesday.

The security forces also recovered arms and ammunition from the possession of the nabbed militants, a defence release said on Wednesday.

Based on specific inputs, the security forces along with Nagaland Police, apprehended a woman cadre of the Niki Sumi group of NSCN (K) at Padumpukhri in Dimapur.

One 9mm pistol with magazine, six live rounds of 9mm pistol, one mobile phone and a cash amount of Rs 10,500 were recovered from the woman cadre.

The cadre along with the recovered items was handed over to East Police Station in Dimapur.

A cadre of NSCN (R) was apprehended at Medziphema.

One .32 pistol along with magazine, five live rounds of .32 pistol and one mobile phone were recovered from the possession of the NSCN cadre, the release said.

He along with the recovered items was handed over to Medziphema Police Station, Dimapur.
