Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) seems to be all set to win the Shamator-Chessore Assembly seat.
The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has decided not to field candidate for the by-poll to the Shamator-Chessore seat.
The decision was taken by the NPF after a meeting of the party’s working committee that discussed the request made by the NDPP.
The NDPP has further urged the NPF for support during the by-polls and strengthen the opposition-less government.
