The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will submit the final report to the court after receiving the forensic results of the killings of 14 civilians by security forces in Mon district on December 4 and 5 last year.
The SIT was constituted by the Nagaland government to probe the killings allegedly by security forces.

Nagaland Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Sandeep Tamgadge informed that 85 civilians and 37 security personnel, including 31 army jawans involved in the incident were examined.
The SIT also visited the spot multiple times and after this, exhibits, soil and blood samples were sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratories in Guwahati and Hyderabad.

The SIT is now waiting for the reports from the forensics.
After the reports are from forensics are received, the final SIT report will be submitted to the court.

The incident allegedly took place when a group of labourers onboard a pick-up vehicle was on its way from Tiru village.
