Nagaland Governor extends Christmas greetings

Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has extended Christmas greetings and best wishes to the people of the state. “Christmas is a season of great joy; a time of remembering the past and hoping for a better future. It is also a time of celebration with our family and friends,” the Governor said in his Christmas message.

During the occasion of Christmas, as we celebrate the gift of life through the birth of Jesus Christ, let us uphold Christian values so that the Prince of Peace can live in us and rule Nagaland, he said

Stating that Christmas is celebrated to renew bonds of love, tolerance and compassion which Jesus taught the world, Acharya said it is time to heal the wounds, close divisions and remain united.

Also, underling that political stability, respectful agreement resulting in permanent peace is the need of the hour, he said, Let us all pray to Almighty during this Christmas for a developed, economically strong and a prosperous New Year 2018.

Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) and all personnel of Assam Rifles also wished the people of Nagaland “A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2018”.

In its message, the IGAR (N) hoped that this Christmas, the heavenly father showers his blessings of peace, prosperity and happiness to all.
