DIMAPUR: In solidarity with the indefinite shutter-down called by the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), fuel retail outlets in Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima districts of Nagaland will remain closed from April 26.
The Petroleum Dealers’ Association of Dimapur, Niuland, and Chümoukedima (PDADNC) has expressed support for the DCCI’s initiative, denouncing the persistent issues of alleged multiple taxation, intimidation, summons, and harassment faced by the business community at the hands of various Naga political groups.
PDADNC president Onen Aier and general secretary Pretso Therie, criticized the lack of decisive action from the administration and police in addressing these challenges, which continue unabated despite occurring under their watch.
They called upon the Nagaland government to intervene and mitigate the situation to prevent further complications.
Additionally, PDADNC appealed to all retail outlets affiliated with different petroleum companies in Dimapur, Niuland, and Chümoukedima districts of Nagaland to extend their cooperation to the DCCI’s indefinite shutter-down.
They have also urged the public to bear with the inconveniences caused by the closure of these outlets.
