The meeting also resolved that the ENPO will write a letter to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs not to entertain any write-ups/suggestions with regard to Frontier Nagaland Territory by anyone other than the ENPO.

Further, the meeting resolved to suspend all forms of ongoing restrictions under the eastern Nagaland public emergency with effect from March 21. However, the public emergency will continue to be in force till further notice, the statement said.

On March 5, the tribal bodies and frontal organisations under the ENPO had declared a public emergency all over eastern Nagaland against the delay by the government of India to settle the offer for the creation of Frontier Nagaland Territory comprising six eastern districts of Nagaland.

Meanwhile, a 12-hour total shutdown from 6 am was observed at Tuensang headquarters on Tuesday in view of the public meeting with the 20 ENLU members and Rajya Sabha MP who happens to be from the eastern Nagaland district of Mon.

However, the ENLU members and the MP could not reportedly attend the meeting as they were in Delhi. They reportedly sought postponement of the meeting.
