Nagaland: DIPR makes documentary on ‘July Deluge 2018’

The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Nagaland has released a documentary on floods the State faced this year.

Informing this on his Twitter handle on Sunday, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio stated that the documentary made by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Nagaland presents a scenario of the aftermath of the floods and landslides which created havoc in different parts of the State.

“A documentary by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Nagaland, gives a glimpse of the aftermath of the incessant rain, which led to floods and landslides across Nagaland,” tweeted Chief Minister Rio.

The incessant monsoon rains which began on July, 26 2018 led to a series of disasters across Nagaland.

Disrupting roads in multiple locations, damaging property and creating severe havoc on the terrain, affecting agriculture.

The districts of Kiphire, Phek, Tuensang and Mon were cut off from the rest of the State for about 15 days. A total of 12 lives have been lost, 48,821 families severely affected in 532 villages, 5202 houses affected and about 359 roads have been totally cut off.
