Nagaland has registered 93 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 5,544.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status on Monday said the new positive cases have been confirmed out of 816 tests.
“Update! 93 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed out of 816 results received,” health minister Phom tweeted.
Of the new cases, 77 have been detected in Dimapur, 13 in Kohima and 1 each case has been detected in Tuensang, Longleng and Phek districts.
A total of 223 other patients have recovered from the disease, the health minister informed.
“Also, State reports 223 recoveries of COVID-19 patients,” said Phom.
Of the recovered patients, 138 are from Kohima and 85 are from Dimapur district, the heal minister said.
The health department informed that with the detection of 93 new cases, the total number of positive cases registered in Nagaland so far reached 5,544.
According to the health department data, Nagaland currently has a total of 1,054 active cases.
A total of 24 positive patients have migrated from the state.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 10 persons in Nagaland so far.
