Nagaland COVID19 update: 20 new cases detected; tally rises to 3,031

Nagaland has registered 20 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 3,031.

Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s COVID19 status said the new positive cases have been detected out of 192 samples tested.

“COVID-19 Report! Out of 192 samples tested, 20 new +ve cases have been detected,” health minister Phom said.

The health minister informed that of the new cases Kohima has reported 10 positive cases, 9 cases have been reported from Dimapur and 1 case has been reported from Tuensang.

“Contact tracing is fully put in force & all primary contacts are kept under self isolation to avoid further transmission,” health minister Phom tweeted.

According to the data prepared by the COVID19 war room, Nagaland, the state has so far registered 3,031 positive cases.

With the new positive cases, Nagaland currently has 2,047 active COVID19 cases.

A total of 973 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged from various hospitals or Covid Care Centres across Nagaland after their recovery.

The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 8 positive patients in Nagaland.
