The camp was busted after receiving specific inputs about the illegal camp in the area.
“The camp was destroyed by burning it down,” read a statement.
On the other hand, many items including uniforms, rations and tents were also recovered from the camp.
The recovered items were later handed over to the Aghunato Police Station in Zunheboto district.
Meanwhile, in another successful operation, Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Nagaland Police apprehended an armed cadre of NNC GDRN (NA) from Signal Angami (Dimapur district).
One point 32mm Pistol and several rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the arrested rebel.
