With the detection of 140 new cases, the COVID-19 tally of Nagaland reached to 8436 on Friday.
Of the new cases, 118 were detected from Dimapur, 16 from Kohima, 2 each from Mokokchung and Zunheboto and 1 each from Wokha and Tuensang.
Moreover, a total of 101 COVID-19 patients were discharged from various COVID care centres and hospitals of the state on Friday.
Among the discharged, 52 are from Kohima, 46 from Dimapur and 3 from Longleng.
