Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police personnel have apprehended three cadres belonging to two different factions of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN).
Confirming the news, Assam Rifles on its Twitter handle on Sunday said the joint operations with Nagaland Police were carried out on Saturday.
During the joint operations, the Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police personnel were able to apprehend two NSCN (IM) cadres from Wokha district.
One NSCN (KN) cadre was apprehended from Dimapur, Assam Rifles said.
During the operations, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the NSCN cadres.
Assam Rifles said the recoveries included three 12 Bore rifles, one 9mm pistol, live ammunition and contraband worth approximately Rs 31 lakh.
