Nagaland Governor PB Acharya launched My Northeast App at St. Joseph College, Jakhama on Friday. My Northeast App is an up-to-date network of services with all the latest news on jobs, education and infotainment.

Launching the app, Acharya said empowerment by education is a necessity for development of a country.

Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement “many young people with conventional degrees are not employable now”, he expressed hope that the app would help them in providing necessary information in acquiring skills required for their future.

Director, Higher Education, Kuholi Chishi, in her address, exuded confidence that the students would make best use of the app and upgrade and update themselves with the facilities provided by it. She was optimistic that the entire student community would benefit from the app.

Explaining the application of the app, CEO, My Northeast App, Prakash said many students of Northeast are deprived of opportunities due to lack of information. The app will provide information on international and national entrance exams besides scholarships, local, corporate and government job details, he stated.

The app also has a call centre for providing information and to answer any queries of the students, he informed.
