Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni, support staff and the West Indies team players have arrived in Guwahati on Wednesday as the city gears up to host first ODI of the 5 ODIs to be played on October 21 between India and West Indies.
It may be mentioned that only MS Dhoni of the Indian cricket team arrived in Guwahati along with the support team on Wednesday while the rest of the Team India will arrive in the city on Thursday.

On the other hand, the entire West Indies team, eight members of which had arrived in Guwahati earlier on Monday, arrived on Wednesday on Wednesday.
According to information, the cricket players, after their landing at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport in a special aircraft from Hyderabad, were directly taken to Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati amidst tight security.
On Monday, an 8-member team of West Indies cricket team arrived in the city.

The first ODI of the five-match series will be played at the Assam Cricket Association’s Stadium at Barsapara on Sunday.
The tour including two tests, five one-day internationals and three T20 internationals, and will continue till November 11.
Indian team swept the Test series 2-0 against West Indies, winning the second and final match by 10 wickets in Hyderabad on Sunday. For Team India, it was their 10th series win at home since their last defeat against England in the year 2012.
The first five-match ODI series beginning on October 21 in Guwahati will be followed by the second ODI on October 24 in Indore and the third ODI in Pune on October 27.
The final two ODIs will be held in Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram on October 29 and November 1 respectively.
The one-dayers will be followed by the three T20 internationals to be held in Kolkata on November 4, in Lucknow on November 6 and in Chennai on November 11.
