Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural address at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Session 2020 at 11 am on Tuesday.

The session is being dubbed as ‘Getting Growth Back’.

This will be the Prime Minister’s first major speech on the Indian economy after the announcement of Unlock 1.0.

The virtual online meeting at the annual session of the CII assumes significance as companies are resuming operations after the government has allowed gradual phasing out of the lockdown.

The session will focus on the rapid changes across multiple dimensions that are sweeping across the world as well as in India and how these would impact the Indian industry, according to reports.

It would work towards evolving strategies for crisis management for the nation and for businesses.

Modi’s speech is also expected to focus on the country’s economic growth prospects.

The Prime Minister’s address will be telecast live on Doordarshan.
