Like previous occasions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday morning donned the pride of Assam, the ‘phulam gamosa’ while participating at the International Yoga Day.
International Yoga Day is celebrated across the country as well as abroad on June 21 every year. Yoga has lately been accepted globally as a medium to attain sound physical health as well as mental and spiritual well-being.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this year’s International Yoga Day took part in the mass yoga organized in Ranchi. Modi joined around 4,000 other participants at the play ground at Dhurwa of Ranchi in performing yoga on Friday with the traditional Assamese gamosa around his neck.
Modi has been donning the gamosa on several earlier occasions – whether performing yoga or visiting temples across the country.
