The Pre-World Cup Mizoram Open Paragliding Accuracy Championship, the first of its kind in the State, has kicked off at Serchhip in Mizoram.
It has been organized by the Mizoram Aero Sports Association under the aegis of FAI CAT II and aims to provide a safe and fair contest in order to determine the individual champion of the Pre-PG Accuracy World Cup India 2018, a CAT II FAI event and reinforce friendship among pilots.

Around 52 participants from various states of the country and abroad have participated.

There is a paragliding school in Mizoram named 3 Dimensional School of Paragliding, which is the third of its kind in India, reports The Assam Tribune.
This school, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, has been organizing paragliding events.
