The Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles has tried to sensitize the locals on the new variant strains of Covid-19 by organizing a poster campaign at Khawbung in Mizoram’s Champhai district.
The poster campaign was organized on the occasion of ‘World Health Day” on Wednesday, during which Assam Rifles jawans asked the public to strictly adhere to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour.
The medical officer of the battalion also educated the people on the precaution they need to take before and after vaccination.

The people were also urged to get themselves vaccinated against Covid-19 in view of the new strains affecting lakhs of people in India.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, the new variants of Covid-19 are more infectious and lethal, which is why it is all the more important to wear masks, maintain social distancing and maintain proper hand hygiene.
The poster campaign was attended by 53 locals of the area.
The Assam Rifles team also stressed the implementation of government advisories like “Dewai Bhi Kadai Bhi” and “Do Gaz Ki Duri”.
