The Mizoram University (MZU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University Malaysia Terengganu to collaborate in various academy activities.

The MoU was signed on Wednesday by MZU vice-chancellor KRS Sambasiva Rao and MZU director HK Laldinpuii on behalf of the university.

On behalf of the University Malaysia Terengganu vice-chancellor NA Haji Mokhtar and dean of fisheries and food services, M Effendy A. Wahid signed the document.

Both the universities have been collaborating in different academic programmes since 2019.

The new agreement will further allow the exchange of faculty, staff members as well as students between both universities together with joint research, joint lectures and symposiums.

The department of library and information science of MZU had signed an MoU with the Faculty of Information Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA of Malaysia in December last year.

The MoU enabled both universities to collaborate in different academic pursuits.
