Officials of Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department on Tuesday seized 137.6 grams of heroin and arrested two Myanmarese national near Tiau river on the Mizoram-Myanmar border, an official said.

The department spokesperson Peter Zohmingthanga said two accused identified as Khualsianlal (19) and Thangchintuang (31), both from Tidim in Myanmar, have been arrested for possessing the heroin.
They were arrested in Ngur area on the bank of Tiau river in Champhai district on the Mizoram-Assam border, he said.
The contraband worth Rs three lakh in the local market was smuggled from Myanmar.

The accused were booked under relevant section of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (ND&PS) Act, 1985, according to Peter.
