Mizoram State BJP President Vanlalhmuaka has been accused of misappropriating party funds.
Mizoram BJP leader and social media convener K Vanlalruati on Tuesday came down heavily on the saffron party’s State President Vanlalhmuaka accusing him of misappropriating lakhs of party funds.

Vanlalruati alleged that soon after assuming charge as the BJP’s State President Vanlalhmuaka appointed a non-Mizo woman by the name Sunni Lalthangmawii as Mizoram BJP secretary.
Vanlalruati alleged that Vanlalhmuaka appointed Sunni Lalthangmawii as Mizoram BJP secretary as both of them share a personal relationship.
Vanlalruati alleged that Vanlalhmuaka and Lalthangmawii misappropriated funds received from the party’s national headquarters in New Delhi.

“Misappropriation of funds by the duo adversely affected the party in the State,” Vanlalruati alleged.

Huge sums of money earmarked for districts could not be disbursed because of ‘misappropriation’ by the President, she alleged.
Vanlalruati also accused Vanlalhmuaka of meting out personal vendetta upon her by suspending her from the party last year without the knowledge of other party leaders after she objected to “financial fraud committed by Lalthangmawii”.
