Three Mizoram’s districts-Lawngtlai, Mamit and Lunglei- share a 318-km long border with Bangladesh and Lawngtlai is the first such district to have issued a prohibitory order given the Bangladesh unrest.
A senior police officer said that the influx of refugees from the neighbouring country has not been reported so far.
The state police are collaborating with the Border Security Force (BSF), which guards the Indo-Bangladesh border to prevent any influx, he said.
