Mizoram on Friday reported the highest single-day spike of 296 Covid19 cases.

With the new cases, Mizoram’s Covid19 positive tally reached 9,740, according to the latest Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information & public relations, on Friday morning.

As per the data, of the 296 cases, 10 cases were confirmed during RT-PCR tests in Zoram Mecial College (ZMC), 186 cases were confirmed during Rapid Antigen Test and 5 cases were detected during TrueNat test.

Mizoram currently has 2,303 active Covid19 cases.

The state so far reported 30 Covid19 deaths.

The state’s positivity rate stands at 6.24%.

So far, a total of 7,407 people have recovered from the disease in Mizoram.

As per the data, Mizoram has so far conducted 3,59,267 tests for Covid19.

More than 30 children, including a five-month-old baby have tested positive for Covid19, according to reports.

While a total of 15 patients have travel history the rest were infected by the virus locally.

A total of 136 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 4,741 samples have been tested for Covid19 in the state.

A total of 2,44,547 people have received the first dose of Covid19 vaccine.

Till Thursday, 51,956 people have been administered both the doses of Covid19 vaccines.

A total of 136 Covid19 patients were discharged from various Covid Care Centres in Mizoram on Thursday, according to the data from Integrated Diseases Surveillance Programme (IDSP).
