Mizoram reported 639 new Covid19 positive cases in the last 24 hours.

The state reported no death due to Covid19 infection on Tuesday.

According to the latest Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information and public relations, Mizoram, on Sunday morning, of the new cases, 134 were confirmed during RT-PCR test at Zoram Medical College (ZMC).

While 18 cases were found positive for the virus during TrueNAT tests, 486 were detected positive during Rapid Antigen Test and 1 case was confirmed during Fluorescent Immunoassay (FIA) test.

Mizoram’s positivity rate stood at 5.1% on Tuesday.

With the new cases, the Covid19 positive tally increased to 49,350 in Mizoram on Tuesday.

Of the total cases, 25,578 are male and 23,772 are female.

The deadly disease has claimed the lives of a total of 184 patients in Mizoram so far.

Meanwhile, a total of 523 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

Of the recoveries, Aizawl district recorded 303 recoveries, Kolasib-99, Mamit-79, Champhai-26 and Lawngtlai district recorded 16 cases.

Mizoram currently has 9,510 active Covid19 cases.

Of the active cases, in Mizoram, Aizawl district has 6642 cases, Lunglei – 479, Siaha – 182, Champhai – 270, Kolasib – 911, Serchhip – 55,  Lawngtlai – 417, Mamit – 481, Khawzawl – 0, Hnahthial – 55 and Saitual has 15 active cases.

On Monday, Mizoram reported 2 deaths due to Covid19 infection and 249 positive cases.

Mizoram’s positivity rate stood at 19.79% on Monday.
