Mizoram has registered 3 more COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 17.
According to Mizoram’s latest COVID19 data, prepared by the directorate of information and relations of Mizoram, the active cases registered in Mizoram so far stand at 16.
Earlier, Mizoram’s first COVID19 positive patient was discharged from the hospital after recovery.
Sharing the state’s COVID19 update on his Twitter handle, on Thursday, Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga said the Mizoram government will ensure the safety of each and everyone who is subjected to risk by the COVID19 pandemic.
As the number of COVID19 positive cases in the state is on the rise, the chief minister has appealed to all to stand together in this time of crisis.
“Covid-19 Update. The Govt. of Mizoram in its full capacity will ensure the safety of each and everyone who are subjected to risk by this pandemic. This is our moment to stand together as one!”, chief minister Zoramthanga tweeted.
With the surge of 9,304 cases in a day so far, the total tally of COVID19 positive cases in India increased to 2,16,919, the Union Health Ministry data revealed on Thursday.
Of the total cases registered in India, 1,06,737 are active, while 1,04,107 persons have been cured and discharged from the hospitals across the country.
The deadly virus has claimed the lives of 6,075 persons in India so far.
