Mizoram registered five new COVID-19 cases on Sunday night.
With these five new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the State went up to 117.
This was informed by the state DIPR in its official Twitter handle on Monday.
The DIPR has been monitoring the COVID-19 status in the State.

At present, there are 116 active cases in the State.
The five cases were among the 682 samples tested at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) on Sunday.
They are all from Mamit district.
All five patients are female and aged between 21 -23 years.
According to another tweet by the DIPR, all of them are asymptomatic.
They had recently returned from Delhi and are under institutional quarantine.
The person who was the first victim of the deadly coronavirus had already recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
The State has not witnessed any COVID-19 related deaths so far.
