Mizoram has registered 2 new Covid19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s positive tally to 4,184.
Confirming the news, the bulletin on Covid19, issued by the department of information and public relations (DIPR, Mizoram, the new cases were detected out of 44 Rapid Antigen Tests.
No sample was tested for RT-PCR at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC) on Sunday as the lab remained closed.
A total of 59 samples were tested at TrueNAT labs in the district hospitals, however, no positive cases were detected.
Of the total number of Covid19 cases (4,184) registered in Mizoram so far, 3,075 are male and 1,109 are female.
So far a total of 4,049 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have been discharged from various hospitals across the state after their recovery from the disease.
Mizoram currently has 127 active Covid19 cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 8 people in Mizoram.
Currently, a total of 8 districts in the state have active Covid19 patients.
While Aizawl has 64 active Covid19 cases, Lunglei has 31, Champhai – 4, Kolasib – 8, Serchhip – 4, Lawngtlai – 11, Hnahthial – 3 and Saitual has 2 active cases.
Mamit, Siaha and Khawzawl districts currently have no active Covid19 cases.
