Mizoram reported two more deaths due to Covid19 infection and a total of 748 new positive cases on Tuesday morning.
Mizoram’s positivity rate came down to 8.11% on Tuesday. The state’s positivity rate on Monday was 36.56%.
According to the latest Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information and public relations, Mizoram, on Tuesday morning, of the new cases, 162 were confirmed during RT-PCR test at Zoram Medical College (ZMC).
While 38 cases were confirmed during TrueNAT test, a total of 548 cases were detected during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
With the new cases, the Covid19 positive tally increased to 40,111 on Tuesday.
As per 5 pm on Sunday update a total of 347 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the deadly disease.
While 231 patients recovered in Aizawl, 67 recovered in Kolasib, 26 in Mamit, 9 in Siaha, 7 in Champhai, 4 in Lunglei and 3 patients recovered in Saitual district.
The state’s recovery rate stands at 69.53%.
Out of the total Covid19 positive cases, registered in Mizoram, 21,119 are male and 18,992 are female.
Mizoram currently has 12,316 active Covid19 cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 153 people in Mizoram so far.
Of the active Covid19 cases, Aizawl has 9,476 cases, Lunglei – 716, Siaha – 170, Champhai – 189, Kolasib – 752, Serchhip – 54, Lawngtlai – 590, Mamit – 332, Khawzawl – 2, Hnahthial – 0 and Saitual district currently has 35 active cases.
On Monday, Mizoram reported 1 death due to Covid19 infection and a total 438 positive cases.
On Monday, the number of active cases stood at 12,189.
