Assam reported 21 more Covid19 deaths and 1,276 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Wednesday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,12,332 tests.

The Assam chief minister informed that the state’s overall positivity percentage on Wednesday stood at 1.14%.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district reported 161 cases.
On Wednesday, hundreds of people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the deadly disease.

The state’s recovery rate on the day was 96.50%, chief minister Sarma informed.

Till Wednesday evening, 44.61 crore Covid19 vaccine doses were administered across India under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
India has recorded a total of 3,06,63,147 recoveries so far.
The country’s recovery rate currently stands at 97.39%.
A total of 41,678 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.
India reported a total of 43,654 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry data.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 3,99,436 and the active cases constitute 1.27% of the total cases.
The weekly positivity rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.36%.
The daily positivity rate stands at 2.51% and remains below 5%, the Union health ministry said.
