Mizoram Youth Commission (MYC), the lone government agency for youth development in the State, will conduct pre-recruitment training to facilitate recruitment of around 200 youths from Mizoram in Army and Central Armed Police Forces.
Interacting with media in Aizawl on Thursday, MYC chairman and Congress legislator Joseph Lalhlmpuia said massive efforts are being taken to recruit Mizo youths as much as possible in Indian Army and Central Armed Police Forces.

He said that pre-recuitment training for the interested students will be conducted from early August in view of the upcoming Army recruitment rally which will be held in October and Central Armed Police Force (constable) Examination to be conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
The pre-recruitment training will be held in all the eight district headquarters of the State.
He also said that the State Government declared the current year as ‘mass recruitment in Indian Army’ for the Mizo youths.

According to the chairman, he had asked the Zonal Army Recruitment Officer in Shillong to shift the date of Army recruitment rally for Mizoram as State Assembly elections are likely to be held in late November.
“The officer complying to our request decided to hold the recruitment rally for Mizoram during October 3 to 6 later this year,” he said.
Lalhlimpuia also said that pre-recruitment training will be conducted under the supervision of respective district Deputy Commissioners.
As for Army, the pre-recruitment training will be held for soldier general duty, soldier tradesman, clerk/store keeper, technical, nursing assistant and soldier technical.
