The Mizoram government on Wednesday decided to allow people, who are stranded in different parts of the state, to return to their villages.
The meeting of Aizawl City Local Council Association, All Mizoram Village Council Association and Mizoram NGO Coordination Committee held under the leadership of chief secretary Lalnunmawia Chuaungo with the initiative of chief minister Zoramthanga said that people, who are stranded in different parts of the state due to the ongoing lockdown, will be allowed to return to their towns and villages commencing from Thursday, an official statement said.

However, the stranded people should take prior permission from local level task force or village level task force before moving to their destination, the statement said.
The meeting also said that any stranded person, when arrived at his village, need not be quarantined as the incubation period is believed to be over.
