Mizoram COVID-19 case increased by 100 as the state reported 631 more cases on Friday against 531 on the previous day, according to a statement by state information and public relations department. 

Mizoram has reported zero fatality for two consecutive days, the statement said. 

The total COVID-19 caseload now stands at 1,27,548, of which 5,838 are active, it said.

The single-day positivity rate increased to 14.26 per cent as compared to Thursday’s positivity rate of 11.11 per cent. 

At least 145 children were among the newly infected people, the statement said.

As many as 732 people have recovered on Thursday, taking the total recoveries to 1,21,254. 

The recovery rate among COVID-19 patients is 95 per cent and the death rate is 0.35 per cent. 

The northeastern state has conducted over 13.62 lakh sample tests for COVID-19, of which 4,426 samples were tested on Thursday. 

According to state immunisation officer Dr. Lalzawmi, more than 7 lakh people have been inoculated till Thursday and out of this 5.31 lakh people have received the full dose.
