The Aizawl Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles recovered arms and ammunition from Aizwal in Mizoram.
The arms were recovered during a joint operation conducted by Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Mizoram police from Wednesday.
The team launched the operation based on confirmed intelligent inputs about arms being kept hidden in Aizwal.

The team also apprehended three individuals in this connection, who were later handed over to the Aizwal Police Station.
The team recovered one Armscor AK22 rifle, one point 22mm colt pistol, 110 rounds of ammunition, five empty cartridges and two shotguns during the operation.
Troops of Assam Rifles had recovered weapons and a Chinese bike in two separate locations in Zokhawthar village in Champhai district along the Mizoram-Myanmar border in November last year.
261.4 grams of heroin, a Bretta pistol with four live rounds and a Kenbo bike were seized during the operation.
