Mizoramโ€™s COVID-19 scenario continues to worsen. 

The state has reported 235 new cases, which took the total cases tally to 12,634. 

Meanwhile, Mizoram has reported two more COVID-19 fatalities. 

These two new death cases have pushed the Stateโ€™s COVID-19 death toll up to 44.

The new 235 cases were detected after conducting tests of 3,752 samples. 

The new 235 cases were detected in Mizoram at a positivity rate of 6.26%, state information and public relations department said in a statement. 

Of the 235 new cases, 52 were detected through RT-PCR tests at the Zoram Medical College near Aizawl, 172 through Rapid Antigen Test and 11 via TrueNat tests. 

With the detection of 235 new cases, Mizoramโ€™s active cases tally has shot up to 3243.

Aizawl has the highest number of active cases of the State โ€“ 2348. 

Meanwhile, 9347 people in Mizoram so far have also recovered from the deadly disease.
