The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles on Saturday conducted a lecture on “Anti Corona Preventive Measures” at Siahatla in Mizoram’s Siaha district.
The Assam Rifles conducted the lecture to educate the public about the preventive measures they need to take to protect themselves from Covid-19.
The people were advised to adhere to strict Covid-19 protocols like wearing face masks, using hand sanitizers and maintaining social distance.
A total of 36 residents of Siahatla attended the sensitization programme.
In view of the second wave of Covid-19 hitting many states across India, the Mizoram Government recently urged the Centre to increase the supply of vaccines to the state.

Meanwhile, three people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Mizoram in the past 24 hours.
Two of them have arrived in the state from Mumbai and one from Bengaluru.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Mizoram has reached 4,4376, of which 26 are active cases.
The virus has claimed 11 lives in the state so far.
