The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles on Monday conducted an anti-malaria awareness campaign at Siahatala Village in Siaha district in Mizoram.

During the campaign, resource persons educated the masses on the treatment of malaria as well as the precautions they need to take to protect themselves from the disease.

The programme was attended by 45 civilians and 23 Assam Rifles personnel.

The 23 Sector Assam Rifles also organized a dental camp for children of the Thutak Nunpuitu Team (TNT) Orphanage in Aizwal in Mizoram on April 3.

During the health camp, doctors provided dental treatment to the local populace and also sensitized them on the importance of dental health.

The medical team head by Manmohan Singh examined about 200 children.
