The Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles at the initiative of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of of HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) has provided rations and other essential items to the Veer Naris, affected by Covid19 in New Serchhip.
The Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles in Mizoram has been making a constant endeavour for the Veer Naris during the testing times of COVID19.
“Committed to the cause, the Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles visited two Veer Naris and extended a helping hand to meet their daily requirements as a gesture of constant support from the Assam Rifles,” the HQ IGAR (East) said in a statement.
Subedar Major of the Serchhip Battalion interacted with Juliet Zongmawii and Laldengi, both residents of New Serchhip and presented the ration and essential commodities, the statement said.
The Assam Rifles team also distributed immunity boosters, masks and sanitizers to them as a philanthropic gesture.
“Assam Rifles is always committed to provide assistance to the families of the brave soldiers, who have made supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation,” it said.
The ladies were assured of the continuous support of Assam Rifles, whenever required for their
well-being, the statement further said.
