On August 27, 2021, the Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles while promoting ‘Fit India Movement’ and continuing its efforts to bolster the bond with local populace organized a friendly volleyball match with youths of Farkawn village in Mizoram’s Serchip district.
To celebrate the second anniversary of the Fit India Movement and as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Union youth affairs and sports minister Anurag Singh Thakur on Sunday launched the Fit India Mobile Application at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi on National Sports Day.
Union minister of state for youth affairs and sports Nisith Pramanik also graced the event.

Union sports secretary Ravi Mittal and youth affairs secretary Usha Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Before the launch of the Fit India App launch event, Anurag Thakur first paid floral tributes to the magician of hockey, Major Dhyan Chand at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. Nisith Pramanik also paid respect.
