AIZAWL: Assam Rifles along with Special Narcotics, criminal investigation department (CID) of Mizoram police seized 146 grams of Heroin worth over Rs 1 crore at Sesawng village in Aizawl district.
This was informed by the Assam Rifles in a statement.

The operation was carried out by a joint team of Assam Rifles and Special Narcotics, CID of Mizoram police based on specific information, it said.
A 40-year-old Manipur resident was arrested for possessing the contraband, the statement stated.
Both the accused and the seized heroin were handed over to the Mizoram police for further legal proceedings, the statement added.
