To achieve the motto of ‘winning hearts & minds of local populace’ and to motivate the local youth to join the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, the Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a pre-recruitment training for the youth in Mizoram.
The Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 23 Sector Assam Rifles/HQ IGAR (East) began the pre-recruitment training and coaching sessions from Saturday.
The opening address of the pre-recruitment training was conducted through a video conference at the Battalion Headquarters at Serchhip where 31 aspirants participated.

The aim of the training is to guide the local youth aspiring to join Armed Forces and give them an insight into the selection procedures and standards expected out of a soldier for the upcoming Army and Assam Rifles Recruitment Rally, said a statement issued by HQ IGAR (East).
Prior to the commencement of the pre-recruitment training, the Battalion successfully registered 86 boys and girls which include 80 applications for CAPF and six applications for the Indian Army.
The youth expressed their profound gratitude to the Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles for conducting such important pre-recruitment training.
