Mizoram is aiming to achieve sustainable development for all sections of the society.

While emphasizing on all-round development of the State, chief minister, Zoramthanga on Wednesday said his government is making all-out efforts to maintain good roads, better irrigation syatem and sufficient supply of power.

He also said that special emphasis would be laid on the economically backward section of the society while also promising perks for the government employees.

The chief minister these days is continuously touring various Assembly constituencies to know the problems of the people.

The three time chief minister visited Muthi, Muanna, Zuangtui and Thuampui villages within Aizawl East-I on Wednesday, the Assembly constituency from where he was elected.

Addressing a public meeting, Zoramthanga said his government’s top priority is the education and health care sectors.

He also urged the students to work hard, inculcate good habits respect their parents, teachers and elders and more importantly keep themselves away from tobacco and drugs.

The chief minister during his visit to the constituencies was accompanied by various heads of concerned departments.
