On the other hand, as per the Framework Agreement, as reported in the media, a separate development council would be formed in Dima Hasao for which an amount of Rs 500 crore would be allotted.
Reacting to the Framework Agreement as reported in the media, the president of the central committee of the Dimasa Students’ Union (DSU), Sidut Naiding questioned, “If Dima Hasao district is included in greater Nagalim as a Naga-dominated area, then why the other districts of Assam have been left out? On the other hand why only Dima Hasao has been chosen to be included in greater Nagalim?”
He further said that the government must give a clarification regarding inclusion of Dima Hasao if any such decision has been taken. Naiding also said that if the Framework Agreement is true as reported in the media, then the organizations across Dima Hasao would not remain silent.
