National People’s Party (NPP) candidate WR Kharlukhi won the Rajya Sabha seat from Meghalaya.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma thanked the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) partners for bestowing their support to the NPP candidate.

Eight states on Friday voted for 19 Rajya Sabha seats, which began t 9 am and concluded at 4 pm.
Polling took place in Gujarat (4 seats), Andhra Pradesh (4 seats), Rajasthan (3 seats), Jharkhand (2 seats), Manipur (1 seat), Meghalaya (1 seat) and Mizoram (1 seat).
