A visit to the States and Union Territories Symbols category of the Know-India platform will make every tribal of Meghalaya angry.
Four symbols — State Animal, State Bird, State Flower and State Tree of all the states and union territories of India are on display in the category.
Surprisingly, the symbols of the only state which is missing in the category, is Meghalaya.

While the navigation in the States and Union Territories Symbols category is in alphabetical order, Meghalaya should have been in between Manipur and Mizoram.
But, it is shocking – why Meghalaya did not feature in the category?
Why are the state symbols of Meghalaya missing from the Know-India platform? Is it a mistake?
Or, someone in New Delhi did it deliberately?
A visit to the States and Union Territories category on the Know-India category is also going to make the people of Meghalaya angry.
On the Meghalaya page of the Know-India platform, there is a “Festivals” section, which portrays there is only one festival in the state.
The festival has also been wrongly spelled as “Wanggala”, whereas, it should have been spelt “Wangala”.
Under the “Wanggala” section, the Know-India categorised Nongkrem, Shad Suk Mynsiem and Behdeinkhlam festivals.
Has it been done to confuse people? Or, to demoralize the tribal people of Meghalaya?
If the developers did not have the information on Meghalaya, they could have easily contacted someone in Shillong.
The Meghalaya government would have been more than happy to provide the correct information.
