Produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, the India tour marks Scorpions’ first visit to the country in nearly two decades and places Shillong at the forefront of a major global rock tour, reinforcing the city’s growing stature as a live music destination.

The four-city India tour will open in Shillong before moving to Delhi-NCR on April 24, Bengaluru on April 26, and Mumbai on April 30, organisers said.

Reacting to the announcement, lead singer Klaus Meine said the band was excited to return to India after a long gap and looked forward to reconnecting with its fans. Guitarist Rudolf Schenker said bringing the ‘Coming Home’ concert to India nearly 60 years after the band’s formation would be a special celebration for both the band and its audience. Guitarist Matthias Jabs described the upcoming India shows as spectacular and unforgettable.

The concert in Shillong is supported by Meghalaya Tourism, with The Circus as the event partner. The India leg of the tour is part of Bandland On Tour, an extension of BookMyShow Live’s rock and alternative music IP, Bandland.
